We invite compassionate individuals to volunteer with us in Uganda to provide essential home-based and outpatient palliative care.

As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in:

• Providing comfort and support: Offer emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families.
• Alleviating pain and suffering: Assist in administering medications and treatments to manage pain and symptoms. This provides an opportunity to nurses and other medical practitioners interested in palliative care to use their skills while also gaining a valuable insight into the Ugandan medical and health systems.
• Promoting dignity and well-being: Help maintain personal hygiene, provide basic care, and create a peaceful environment.
• Building relationships: Connect with patients and their families, offering companionship and understanding.
• Encouraging the team: Bring excitement, energy and encouragement to the team working day after day in caring for people during the hardest moments of their lives.
